My poor neglected blog

Hello all!! I know I have neglected my blog once again! So much to say and do but so little time. Man have gotten myself into many things lately, well as most of you know I am a SAHM mom now so I do a lot of driving around and cooking and cleaning *gasp*, trust me thats a BIG thing. Hubby is definately happy lol. Oh and hubby also got a job, finally! We have been so blessed lately, and then it makes me think, that yes, things do happen for a reason!

So anyways, my crativity somehow found itself in cakes, yes, CAKES!! Who knew I had it in me, i sure didn't, the first cake I ever tried to bake like 3 years ago, went up in smoke, literally! So my kids bdays are very close (Cziana feb 3 and Jayden feb 4) and I decided to make Cziana's first cake but I wanted to try my hand at one first. And here is the first try
Not bad, right? and it tasted good and nothing was burned! Ok so I decided ok I will make Cziana's cake for her bday and this is my second try

And one of my kids enjoying my cake

Oh yes and it doesn't end there! (Aren't you regretting reading this post, lol)o my hubby's bdayis also in Feb, and its the 27, so I decided to make him a cake as well, and here it is

and please excuse my mess, I was too eager to take pictures and forgot to clean up lol. So thatswhat kept me busy AND (sorry some more) I've been scrapping more, I've decided to take a break from designing scrapbook supplies since it takes too much of my time, and it has let my scrapping mojo come back, I have a ton of pictures to scrap and I hope to catch up since I am planning on actually printing my pages. Has anybody seen time?

My daughter is 10 months! Where has the time gone? I was pregnant this time a year and couldn't imagine what 2009 would look like and now its almost over. Its been a very... interesting year, for a lack of a better word. Actually a lot has happened this year, some good, some bad, but one thing I am glad is that my kids are healthy and my husband and I are together.

One of the good things this year is my butterball, Cziana. Shes so chunky and has the funiest smile ever, she has reached many milestones already, she rolled over at a month old, she grew her 1st tooth at 4 months old (which is when breastfeeding stopped... OUCH!), she sat up unassisted at 4 1/2 months, started crawling and standing up on furniture at 7months, and at 9 months she learned to clap and waive Bye Bye. I've been a very proud momma, and now at 10months she has learned how to climb off the couch and the bed! I am not sure I am happy about that, lol, that means I can't keep her away from anything now. When I need to cook or I am busy with something I put her on the couch and she stays there... well not anymore! She's one smart cookie, I know the next thing is walking and then I am reallty in for it!

Another good thing is seeing my son, Jayden, go from a baby to a big boy! Jayden started pre-school this year so he has learned many things, adding to the ones i taught him. Before pre-school Jayden knew most of his letters, but not in order, as well as his numbers and colors, but now he knows his ABC's, he is able to count items and tell me how many there are. He sings to his sister all the songs he has learned, he just has really surprised me. His teachers love him and they always say how smart and good he is, it really makes me feel good as a parent. He will be 4 next February and just thinking about it makes me tear up, my baby Big boy is growing up.

Some not too good things this year were that both my husband and I got layed off. It has been very tough on us in our relationship and as parents, but whatever doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger. Not to mention the help of family and friends, that have helped us in this tough time. And my little Blog Design Blog, and my customers that have helped as well. Thank you

Thank you for reading and if I don't post again (which I am known to be gone for long periods) Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy Holidays (sorry if I missed any) from our family to yours!

Homemade halloween Costumes

Omg a lot of work went into this. This is the first time I have made something like this. Last year I made my son's costume (and mine) but out of cardboard boxes. He was Thomas the Train, and I was A bun in the oven since I was pregnant with Cziana. It was pretty easy, finding boxes, painting them and done.

But Cziana's first Halloween Costume, has proven to be a big challenge just like she is lol. I decided to make her Boo from Monster's Inc. but in the Monster costume. I didn't realy think about it when I decided, wow it was hard. It took me about 8 days of hand sewing, the body was pretty easy, but the hood was something else. The first hood I made I couldn't get it to stand up behind her head but after a lot of imagination, pipe-cleaners and boning... Success! I feel really proud of myself, I feel like a mom now haha.
Here is my masterpiece

And of course she's eating the teeth because she puts everything in her mouth lol. Jayden decided to be Handy Manny this year. It was so exciting since he is in school now , so he had his first Halloween Parade!

His costume cost under 12 bucks to find and make, which was a wonderful thing, since both Dh and I are still unemployed.

So there are my beautiful kids in their awesome costumes!

Cziana Kayleen Castro

I can't believe I am finally holding my baby girl! It all started monday the 2nd, i started having contractions at 1:30pm they were pretty regular but the pain stayed the same. I decided to sleep it off because i had a dotors appointment on tuesday the 3rd. I was not comfortable at all the whole night, i barely got any sleep. So tuesday morning i feel restless so i make Jayden and I some pancakes to eat for breakfast. We get ready to go out. I meet up with some friends and we go to party city to buy decorations for Jayden's birthday party for the 4th. So i start having some contractions again, but this time i feel tingling in my fingers with a bit of nausea. So i finally get to the doctor and they check my blood pressure and its pretty high, so my doctor decides to direct me to labor & delivery so i can get monitored. So my husband drops me off at the hospital so he can drop Jayden off at his mom's. So I get admitted and they check if Iam dialated, and I am 1cm. I get told that they will recheck me in 2 hours to see if theres any progress, if there isn't i get to go home. Well no more than 20mins pass by that another nurse comes in to put in an IV, then she casually asks if I am excited that i am having a c-section at 8? I am like WHAT!? I ask her to make sure, and sure enough they schedule me at that time, it is 6:50pm so I frantically start calling Mike. Cziana Kayleen was born February 3rd at 8:30pm, she weighed 6lbs 2oz and measured 17in. She looks just like her big brother Jayden. He seems excited with his little sister, but we will see how things go. I am so happy to finally be able to meet my little girl, i feel like my little family is complete.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

35 weeks, 28 days until my c-section!

Hi there! Well here I am, still pregnant (thank god!), and isn't technology awesome? I am posting this post from my phone! My computer is not working so this is how I am posting lol. See how dedicated I am? lol. So anyways, I am now 35 weeks and 3 days according to my ticker. As you can see i am huge! and in pain! My hips feel like they are going to fall apart. I really can't wait to meet my daughter, seeing all the pink baby stuff around the house makes me really anxious! My son looks at everything and asks over and over again "Is this for baby sister mommy?" I say yes again and again lol, i feel bad sometimes because i feel he is getting a bit jealous, I keep buying him little things so he doesn't feel left out. In other news, my big boy is turning 3 in 2 weeks! I can't believe he has grown that much, it feels like it was yesterday I brought him home from the hospital, and now here I am starting all over again lol. I am truly blessed, i have a wonderful husband (hehe he's starting to feel old because he turns 24 at the end of February, he feels he's getting closer to 30!), an awesome son and now I am getting a daughter, I can't wait! Don't worry I will be posting the birth story when it happens, along with pictures. Until next time!

Bump update!

So I went to Labor & Delivery on Tuesday because I started having contractions!!! I am 7months now, but its so scary to have them this soon. We were there till midnight and they told me that I was dehydrated and that also causes contractions, so I have to drink a glass of water every hour!! That means I have to pee every hour...YAY...not! I am just glad it wasn't anything more serious, I do not want to have this baby early.
